RECD ( Retrofit Emission Control Device)

A Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) is an aftermarket solution designed to reduce harmful emissions from existing diesel engines, particularly those in vehicles and machinery that do not meet current environmental standards. These devices are installed on older engines to improve their emissions performance and extend their operational lifespan while complying with stricter regulations. RECDs can include various technologies such as diesel particulate filters (DPFs), selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems, and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems. By capturing particulate matter, reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx), and lowering hydrocarbon emissions, these devices help mitigate the environmental impact of diesel engines. The adoption of RECDs is crucial for industries reliant on older diesel equipment, enabling them to meet regulatory requirements without the need for complete engine replacement. Overall, RECDs play a significant role in enhancing air quality and promoting sustainable practices in sectors such as Power, construction, and agriculture.
